Creating more diverse, equitable, and inclusive spaces through:
-
Sharing new perspectives and elevating underrepresented voices.
What does this look like?
Everyone’s experiences are unique. I hope to heighten understanding, compassion and empathy by using my voice and sharing personal experiences as a Hispanic-AAPI woman in the outdoors.
-
Uniting people through connection, movement and the joy of the outdoors.
What does this look like?
Being in community — biking, skiing, climbing, laughing, talking, etc — is a vital branch of activism. Alyssa brings together people and creates spaces for them to be seen, supported and connected to other people in the outdoors.
-
Creating space for all to learn, make mistakes, ask questions and have fun.
What does this look like?
Alyssa is a certified PSIA Level 1 ski instructor and working towards getting her Level 1 MTB, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and Wildlife First Responder certifications. She is looking to create unique educational opportunities with local mountains/resorts, brands, and organizations committed to change.
-
Working with individuals or groups to create strategic objectives and efforts to increase diversity, provide equity for all and ensure a vibrant culture rooted in inclusivity.
What does this look like?
I recognize that every person and brand is unique — and creating truly diverse, equitable and inclusive cultures and practices doesn’t happen overnight. Whether you’re an individual working to become anti-racist and an effective ally or you’re a group looking to create more diverse practices and inclusive initiatives — a DEI strategy can help guide you in that process

Interested in sponsorship or partnering on a project?
I work with brands and organizations who’s work and mission aligns with my values. If you’re actively working to create a diverse and inclusive outdoors as well as elevating and empowering people from marginalized communities, then I'‘d love to connect.
